LENEXA, KS (November 2006) -- Suture Express, a specialty distributor of suture and wound closure products, has appointed Ed Kuklenski president and CEO. Kuklenski recently concluded a 17-year career with Child Health Corporation of America (CHCA), a business alliance of children's hospitals, where he was senior vice president of shareholder services.
"When I initially received the call regarding the position at Suture Express, I knew little about the company but was intrigued by their extraordinary growth and low cost/keep it simple approach. As part of my due diligence I contacted a handful of Suture Express' IDN/hospital customers and was blown away by how complimentary they were of the company," says Kuklenski.
"The entire team at Suture Express has done an incredible job of revolutionizing healthcare distribution," says Kuklenski. "Their unique, yet effective model is a breath of fresh air and the fun, family-friendly culture is exactly what I was looking for. I strongly believe in Suture Express and am excited to join industry veterans and company founders Jim Vaughn, vice president of sales, and Dennis Jordan, vice president of operations, in providing "Complete Orders Tomorrow" at the lowest price."
Kuklenski's background includes various sales, marketing and general management positions during a nine-year tenure with Baxter International, Inc. and American Hospital Supply Corporation.
Kuklenski is the co-founder and serves on the Board of Directors of FoodBuy, a national group-buying company focused on the foodservice industry.
